Hello yummy…

I made a birthday cake for my coworker this past week. A red velvet cake covered in cream cheese frosting and topped with chocolate decorations.

I used the recipe Bakerella was kind enough to share. I’ve made red velvet cakes before, NONE have ever come out this moist and nice. I was told it was the best red velvet cake they have ever tasted! Thank you so much Bakerella! Note: If you haven’t visited her site yet, you’re missing out.

After adding the cream cheese frosting, I covered the sides in white chocolate shards and frosting decorations:

I also made a white chocolate plaque and wrote “Happy Birthday” on it. Then I topped it off with chocolate heart shapes.

Cute! I’m so glad the birthday girl liked it!
